Innovating For The World

We create cutting-edge solutions for global health challenges. Our innovations include tools for rapid pathogen detection in vectors, the environment, and human populations. We also develop technologies that protect both vectors and people from deadly pathogens.

We create cutting-edge solutions to tackle critical global health challenges, from rapid pathogen detection in vectors, the environment, and humans to protective tools that shield both vectors and populations from deadly diseases.

Non-invasive pathogen detection tools

We are working with several partners around the world to develop predictive AI algorithms for detecting pathogens in human populations, disease vectors, plants and animals. These predictive algorithms are combined with optical measurements from vectors, plants, animals and people.

Scanning animals

Our optical tools coupled with AI can detect pathogens in animals non-invasively through the skin. This has been demonstrated for malaria and soil transmitted helminths. To develop robust models for your use case, contact us to partner with us on this project

Scanning blood

We can detect pathogens in human red blood samples and serum such as malaria or arboviruses or stool samples such as soil transmitted helminths. To develop robust models for your use case, contact us to partner with us on this project

Non-invasive scanning of human subjects

We have demonstrated that our optical tools coupled with AI can non-invasively detect malaria and soil transmitted helminths through the skin of human subjects by simply shining a beam of light on the subject’s finger. We are now working with several partners in Africa to develop this product for programmatic surveillance of mosquito-borne diseases and soil transmitted helminths. Insect characterisation tools

Our optical tools combined with AI can characterise disease vectors to determine their age, species identity, blood meal status and infection status

Diet supplements for disease prevention

We work with partners around the world to test readily available environmentally friendly diet supplements for control of vector-borne diseases and to reduce transmission between disease vectors and human population. To hear more about this project and or partner with us, please contact us

Risk awareness Platforms

We develop platforms that warn people when they are at risk of being bitten by an insect vectors or in pathogen risk zones. For more information, visit our risk awareness platform here
